Mo Ghile Mear

performed at the Mansion House in April 2014.

"I performed this in the Mansion House in April 2014 at the launch of Dublin City Council's MusicTown Festival. This beautiful song dates back to the 18th century. It is a lament by the Gaelic Goddess Éire for her Bonnie Prince Charlie. It is my own arrangement and I always love performing it."

The Ivory Lady

(Comp. Diarmaid Moynihan IMRO) Arranged by Fionnuala Moynihan / Donncha Moynihan

"This was written for me in 2005 by my brother Diarmaid who is a wonderful piper and composer currently living in Castlebar, Co. Mayo. It was recorded by Diarmaid and Donncha on their last album, 'The Lights of Ranzanico', by Lúnasa and also by the Spanish piper Anxo Lorenzo. It is a wonderful tune and brings a smile to my face everytime I hear it and perform it. A sister couldn't ask for a better present!"

Movement No.1 Hob.XVI:52 in Eb major - Haydn

Recorded live in the Hugh Lane Gallery, Dublin.

"I performed this as part of my series ' The Complete Piano Sonatas of Haydn'. The series took place from February 2012 to December 2014."

Inisheer

(Comp. Thomas Walsh) Arranged by Fionnuala Moynihan / Donncha Moynihan

"This beautiful air was composed in the 1970s by Dublin accordionist Thomas Walsh. It's indisputable beauty gives it a timeless quality and it is undoubtedly one of the most well-loved Irish airs heard today. Inisheer is one of the three Aran Islands off the coast of Co. Clare. My father joins me on this track from my album 'The Ivory Lady', a great accordionist, singer and lover of music. He taught me this air when I was a child and it has always been a favourite of ours to play together."
